Hands On

An intiative for the development of ESP teaching and learning

Started at the Institute Leonardo da Vinci, Hands On is meant to promote an innovative, practical language teaching and learning in vocational schools.

The project aims at enhancing language learning and improving students' performance and motivation through practice.

Since 2006 many activities have been carried out. These include:

lessons based on materials designed in cooperation with teachers and experts

projects related to the various specialisations

school exchanges

meetings and workshops

Recently added

CLIL A new section dedicated to subject teachers who want to use English as the language of instruction.

Hands On: una breve storia

Il progetto Hands on nasce nel 2006 grazie al sostegno di alcuni docenti e del dirigente scolastico dell'ISIS Leonardo da Vinci di Firenze.

Il progetto ha origine dall'esigenza di proporre agli studenti degli istituti tecnici e professionali un approccio linguistico conforme ai loro indirizzi di studio e alle loro capacità.

I nostri studenti non sono certo di quelli che si mettono a capo chino a studiare la grammatica, però quando devono fare un lavoro pratico con una finalità precisa sono in grado di produrre risultati eccellenti.
